Mountain goats can be found anywhere from 500 ft to 2000ft about seal level on the northeastern end of the Kodiak Island. This is the least physically grueling of any mountain goat hunts in the world and is conducted from a game ranch or a tent camp. Tent camps are accessed either by bush plane, by horseback or hike in. Over 100 permits are allocated through a drawing for this area. The drawing is held in December for a hunt the following fall hunting season. Gather all your hunting buddies and enjoy a 7 day mountain goat hunt. Hunters can add on a brown bear, sitka blacktail deer or an American bison hunt for an extra fee.
