The Big Horn River is rated as one of the finest trout rivers in the lower 48 states, with census figures of 7,000 to 10,000 catchable trout per mile. Many trout are 18-22 inches in length with several trophy rainbow and brown trout even larger. There are over 32 miles of exceptional fishing on the Big Horn. The fishing is done from drift boat or jet boat. They consider the lower section as the "Best Kept Secret on the Big Horn." This section is visited by very few anglers or outfitters.
