Lake Erie is known as one of the premier walleye lakes in North America, not only for numbers of fish, but for trophy size fish also.  From vertical jigging in the early spring to trolling in late summer, opportunities for excellent fishing are endless.  The equipment needed for each is always available.  Lake Erie also has a reputation for it's great smallmouth bass fishing.  Large numbers of braggin' size smallies swim the waters around islands and reefs.  May thru October provides best tmes for these fish.
