Montana has a generous population of black bear.  Hunting is done by 4x4 and some walking in various drainages.  Binoculars and spotting scopes are used extensively viewing the logged areas.  Past hunts have had from 85% to 100% success.  All hunts are fair chase, no bait or dogs are used.  This outfitter has hunted this area for over 20 years and knows the area very well.  Hunters stay in a local hotel with nearby restaurants for meals.

Geographic Location
The area for hunting is on private land outside either Billings or Boseman, Montana. The outfitter is permitted to hunt on the Bureau of Land Management's land and in the following national forests: Beaverhead, Deerlodge, Kootenai, and Lolo.
