Pack into a base camp located in prime elk and deer area of the LaGuarita Wilderness and the Gunnison National Forest. Experienced guides, along with proven areas, give you a tremendous advantage on the trail to bagging that big buck or bull elk. Excellent mountain horses are used to hunt as hard as you like. Success rates run quite high with 80-90% of the hunters having an opportunity to take a shot at a deer or elk. Actual harvest rates run 60% and higher. You will be hunting at 10,000 plus feet altitude.

We work out of Gunnison Colorado, a beautiful valley surounded by wonderful wild habitat that ranges from high mountain desert - supporting the wintering game, to 13,000 foot peaks and the lush subalpine fir forests below timberline.

Accommodations for the elk hunter
Elk hunters will hunt out of spacious heated tents - seperate ones for eating and bunking. The food is excellent and there's plenty of it. If you have never spent a night in a hunt camp, miles from the nearest town, you won't believe how warm, dry, and absolutely comfortable we make it for our hunters.
