Coues deer are most common in Arizon's southeastern mountains, but can be found on the edge on the Mogollon Rim Land into the White Mountains.  These deer prefer to range from 3,000 to 7,000 feet. It is not uncommon to see coues deer and mule deer roaming in the same area.  The most productive methods of hunting these deer is by glassing and stalking with an emphasis on glassing.  Coues deer is one of the toughest big game animals to hunt, and at the end of your hunt we are sure you will agree.  Hunters must be in good physical condidtion as this deer's habitat is very rugged.
